Joan Llongueras was born and raised in Catalonia, Spain. He holds a BA and an MBA in economics from ESADE, Barcelona, where during three years he was publisher and director of Redacció, the students’ magazine. During this time Joan entertained himself during boring meetings by drawing insulting cartoons of his co-workers, partners and teachers. Eventually a very peculiar alter ego character named Jun (who lives with a talking cat) emerged from these doodles. In 2002 Llongueras started the daily www.deuvosguard.com blog. During which he continued his day job as a web advisor, drawing every day before work. Now his website is receiving thousands of visits daily, and his comic strips are published in several newspapers and magazines, such as the newspaper “Bon Dia” from Andorra, the Racó Cátala, or the weekly magazine Caprgòs from Mataró. Now Llongueras devotes his entire day (and much of the evening) to Jun, and to speaking, writing, designing artwork and answering hundreds of e-mail messages on a daily basis. After having written several children’s short stories he finally published his very first novel KADINGIR: The sceptre of Zink in 2006, with co-author Mercè Masnou.
