Mercè Masnou has written since she can remember. Or that’s what her relatives, friends, and neighbours have assured us of. Her academic formation, nevertheless, ran another direction; so to speak, as she ended up receiving the master's degree (with honours) in physical education, and presently works at the Sports University. Her passion for reading and a few reforms in her house (or both things) helped her to extract the writer within, as she then began writing all kinds of histories, stories and novels for children and young people. A big part of her work remains, for the moment, unpublished. A curious anecdote derived from the achievement of an edition of a beautifully finished encyclopaedia based on the world of Harry Potter that led her to writing the first (in Catalan) legal parody on the most famous wizard in the entire world, inventing his alter ego, Dani Ferrer. This parody was the one magnet that drew her and Joan Llongueras together, with whom she has created a wonderful and surprising universe that will be developed, if the Gods of Ki say so. Apart from this parody, she has published a short novel for young people titled; “They have kidnapped the twins” and she is in the process of publishing short story for children titled; “The trainer of snakes”, both books are originally written in Catalan.
