Cristina Civale is a writer, journalist, and scriptwriter for television and movies. She studied Cinema in Buenos Aires (Escuela de Cine Avellaneda), and in Havana (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión de San Antonio de Los Baños). In 1993 she published the essay “Hijos de mala madre: fragmentos de una generación dudosa” (Editorial Sudamericana), and in 1995 appeared her first fictional work: “Chica fácil” (Espasa Calpe, finalist in the contest of erotic fiction "La Sonrisa Vertical"). In 1998 Seix Barral published her book of short stories “Perra virtual” (1998). In 2002 Plaza & Janés issued her novel “El hombre de mi vida serás tú”, and Sudamericana Argentina her essay “Esclavos, informe urgente sobre la inmigración en España”. In 2005 Emecé published her novel “Adiós América”. In 2006, Planeta published her research “Niños, lejos de Disneylandia”. Her latest work “Crónicas desde la frontera, viajes al mundo trans” was published in 2008 by Editorial Marea.
