Nieves Abarca, studied Art History at the University of Santiago de Compostela and got a masters in journalism at UOC. She has studied anatomical pathology and legal medicine, and is a specialist in criminal profiles.
She has been the directress of a cultural magazine, besides collaborating in various publications and radio programs of A Coruña and Ponferrada. She is a career civil servant and was posted to a police station for thirteen years.
Along with Vicente Garrido she has published the novels Exquisite Crimes, Martyrium and The Dead Travel Fast, which have received excellent reviews and great success amongst readers
