Arantxa Rufo was born in Madrid in 1979 and has resided in Tenerife since 1980. She studied Sound Engineering, although her career eventually led her to the world of IT and graphic design. She is the author of four noir novels: "En el punto de mira" (In the Crosshairs) (2016), "Sangre en las manos" (Blood on the Hands) (2020), and "Espira" (2023), belonging to the El fantasma trilogy, and the standalone novel "Zed está muerto" (Zed is Dead) (2018). All of them have received excellent reviews from readers and critics. She has also participated in the noir short story anthology "Negro sobre rojo" (Black on Red) (2023), alongside authors such as Antonio Flórez Lage, Graziella Moreno, Juan R. Tramunt, Mayte Martín-Feo, Miguel Aguerralde (Madrid), Natalia Gómez Navajas, Nayra Bajo de Vera, and Ramón Betancor. Additionally, she contributed to the anthology "Tenerife Noir" (2024), edited by MAR Editores, stemming from the literary festival of the same name. She has regularly participated in noir novel festivals such as Tenerife Noir and Las Palmas Confidencial, as well as in media outlets, both on the mainland and in the Canary Islands, such as Tierra de alisios (RTVC), La gota de sangre (Zenda), Somos gente fantástica (RTVC), Sección cultural (Canarias Radio), and El Magazine de Mariam Moragas (El Día TV).
