Synopsis: “Pale Sky and Other Stories” is a book of six short stories, the bulk of which speak of the terrorist violence that ravaged the author’s fatherland. The main story, which gives the books its title, broaches some questions: How is the bond that makes two people long for love established? Can anyone save us from the fear and final loneliness? Are our memories and hopes sufficient to spear us the uncertainty and dread of death? Is it reasonable, no matter the circumstances, to believe and persevere?
This book offers us a set of exquisite stories in a direct and functional style, endued of a certain lyricism and an accomplished handling from the narrative point of view.
