Synopsis: Judge Lola MacHor and her husband James, a medical researcher at the CSIC, have been together for more than 30 years. One evening, James invites two Friends over for dinner, J.J., an American doctor, and Rafael Scott, adviser to a Texan senator of Argentinian origin. Both have worked hard so that this year’s prestigious Wolf Award for Medical Research goes to James.
During dinner, in which Lola wears a bracelet that belonged to her mother-in-law, J.J. shows a keen interest in the jewel and also for a painting, a present from James’ parents and which according to them is a horrible copy of a Matisse. The bracelet disappears after dinner and the painting a couple of days later, when there is a burglary in the family house.
With two voices, from Lola’s perspective and for the first time, giving James a voice, we will accompany the couple in an investigation that on this occasion will directly involve the judge and her family. “Clue Matisse” is an absorbent thriller that delves into issues such as trust, the relationship between couples and the difficult boundaries between lies, truth and pain.
