Synopsis: "Before the terrible years I was a happy child in that place. Happiness seemed the natural state of life, something as obvious as sunrise every morning. The first rays of light penetrated between the fronds of the thatched roof on that morning when everything began to change."
The life of Isaiah began anew the day he arrived in Barcelona as a boy, leaving his world behind. After a long time he has built a new life together with his partner, while trying to forge a future with a bicycle repair shop. Everything changes the day he receives the visit from Emmanuel, a former acquaintance who convinces him to return to Uganda and participate in a conference about the historical reconciliation of his country.
Accepting this proposal will bring to the fore a past that Isaiah thought he had left behind. He will be forced to face the child he once was, look him in the eye without concessions and forgive himself, if indeed he wants to carry on with his life and not lose his wife, who soon, and in the worst way, will discover a terrible truth: we do not always know everything about those we love.
When one has gone too far, fleeing is not an option.
