Sergi Dòria (Barcelona, 1960) holds a PhD in Communication Sciences. He is a cultural journalist for ABC and a professor at the University of Barcelona, the International University of Catalonia, and Ramon Llull University.
He is the author of the reportage book La Guineueta (1995) and Imatges 1930. Barcelonins i moderns (2004). In 2005, he co-edited Paseos por la Barcelona literaria with Sergio Vila-Sanjuán. He has reissued Captain Enrique Blanco’s travel book Boston-Barcelona (2006) and prepared critical editions of the novels of Ignacio Agustí and the narrative works of Josep Pla (Fundación Castro).
He is also the author of the literary guide La Barcelona de Carlos Ruiz Zafón (2007), expanded in 2026, as well as the biography Ignacio Agustí, el árbol y la ceniza (2013). He has published the Barcelona-based novel cycle comprising No digas que me conoces (2015), La verdad no termina nunca (2018), and Antes de que nos olviden (2021).
He has also published a trilogy of journalistic anthologies on the 1930s: Un país en crisis (2018), Mujeres en primera plana (2020), and Los años amarillos (2023), as well as the biography Joaquín de Gispert y el Liceo. Una historia barcelonesa (2025).
