Espinosa, Julio

Julio Espinosa Guerra (Santiago, 1974) is a Chilean author who has lived in Spain since 2001. He has published the novels El día que fue ayer (Mago, Chile, 2006) and La fría piel de agosto (Alfaguara, Chile, 2013), as well as several poetry collections, including La soledad del encuentro (Mosquito, Chile, 1999), Las metamorfosis de un animal sin paraíso (LF, Béjar, 2004, Villa de Leganés Prize), NN (Gens, Madrid, 2007, Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Prize), Sintaxis asfalto (Olifante, Zaragoza, 2010), La casa amarilla (Pre-Textos, Valencia, 2013), and De lo inútil (Candaya, Barcelona, 2017).

He has written literary criticism for publications such as literaturas.com, La estafeta del viento, Revista de libros, Turia, and Heraldo de Aragón. In Zaragoza, he runs MilMadres Literary Space, which houses a publishing house and bookstore of the same name, as well as the Estudio de Escritura creative writing courses. In March 2023, Pre-Textos published his latest book, Secuoya.
