Matías López Navajas was born in Santiago de Chile in 1980 and has lived in Spain since 2010. He has worked as a creative director, screenwriter, musician (co-founder of the band Miss Garrison), and creative writing professor at Universidad Diego Portales. He has published short stories in the anthology Iceberg and in the magazines El Vuelto and Yorokobu. Pista vacía is his first novel.
