Luján, Marcelo

Marcelo Luján (Buenos Aires, 1973) moved to Madrid in early 2001, where he currently works as a coordinator of cultural activities and creative writing workshops. He has published several short story collections, including Flores para Irene (Santa Cruz de Tenerife Prize, 2003), En algún cielo (Ciudad de Alcalá Narrative Prize, 2006), and El desvío (Kutxa Ciudad de San Sebastián Prize, 2007).

He has also published works of poetic prose such as Arder en el invierno and Pequeños pies ingleses, as well as the novels La mala espera (Ciudad de Getafe Crime Novel Prize, 2009, and second mention for the Clarín Prize, 2005), Moravia, and Subsuelo (Dashiell Hammett Prize, 2016, among others).

Part of his work has been selected for reading promotion campaigns and translated into French, Italian, Czech, and Bulgarian. With La claridad, he unanimously won the 6th Ribera del Duero Prize.
