Catharine Titi is a tenured research associate professor at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the CERSA, research centre at Paris-Panthéon-Assas University.
She is an international lawyer, expert in cultural heritage law, and an award-winning author. In addition to her legal background, she has also studied history of art. Her 2023 monograph, The Parthenon Marbles and International Law, published by Springer, established her as one of the most influential voices at the intersection of law and cultural heritage.
Arte secuestrado: Los mármoles del Partenón, el penacho de Moctezuma y otras historias ocultas de nuestros museos (co-authored with Katia Fach Gómez) (Península/Planeta 2026) is her first nonfiction book in Spanish.
Catharine’s working languages are English, Greek, French, and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys writing and painting.
