Fátima Villalta (Nicaragua, 1994). In 2011, she won the Nicaraguan Writers’ Center’s literary publication competition with her novel Danzaré sobre su tumba. She was a resident at the University of Iowa’s International Writing Program in 2022 and at Yaddo in 2024. In 2024, she also received a grant from the Mexican Ministry of Culture’s Young Creators Program. Breve historia del fracaso is her first short-story collection.
