Born in Spain in 1966, Carlos Quílez Lázaro, holds a degree in journalism from the Universidad de Barcelona, a masters in judicial journalism by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, is the Director of Analysis at the Anti-Fraud and corruption Office of Catalunya, and is the author of the following novels and non-fiction stories: Assailants, Attack on the Vice-Queen, (along with Andreu Martín), Psychopath, Policeman’s Skin (also along with Andreu Martín) Bad Life (winner of the Premio Rodolfo Walsh de la Semana Negra de Gijón, 2009), Praticia´s Loneliness (Premio Crims de Tinta, 2009), and Pigs and Chickens (Editorial Alrevés).
