Crisitina Civale, journalist and writer, looks into the world of “Trans” through nine chronicles that delve into the various aspects of the concept of “frontier”. The Frontier has become one of the spaces that defines contemporary life. To go from one country to another: as a tourist, as a guest, a refugee, legal or illegal immigrant. But all the same, the frontier is a metaphor. Crossing, trafficking, mutating, moving, all are verbs conjugated in the daily life of various persons as an account of situations that lead them, precisely, to the border. It may be a compulsory step to reach an identity or also a stagnant space that leads to the need of locking oneself up in a Ghetto.

Frontiers of sex, addiction, depravation, religion, madness, appear in movement in these new chronicles. Nine photographs that capture the precise moment in which the world derails and changes forever.
