Forty Days in May

Pamplona, 1955: three scenes, three sequences. Manuel Videa, an activist come from the other side of the border, intends to make an attempt on Franco’s life taking advantage of the latter’s visit to Navarre. Concomitantly, Detective Serrano receives the order to foil the plot, all while Margot, Manuel’s unyielding companion, will have to carry out her most difficult mission to date. End result, a growing narrative tension and labyrinth of emotions that will trap the reader for the forty days’ preparation that the assassination plot lasts.
