Cuentos como pulgas

Beatriz Osés presents her particular vision of the world and infancy through the diminutive. The words chosen with premeditated exactness make-up a series of pure visual micro-stories that, complimented with original drawings, only need the imagination of a child. Drawing from Magic Realism, Surrealism and the Literature of the Absurd, Osés creates her own universe, controlled by values such as friendship, tolerance and the meaning of dreams, expressed with humor and tenderness: a faithful reflection of its author’s personality. Stories like Tics was given the Premio Lazarillo 2006. This is an award given by the Spanish Organization of Young Adult’s Literature (OEPLI, for its acronym in Spanish), and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture.
