El cetro de Zink
A girl, a little on the wild side, with a great imagination but not such a great sense of the ridiculous though certainly with a rather peculiar sense of humour, daughter of bohemian artists, is to inherit a very special legacy: the Throne of the Queen of the Zitis, one of the six kingdoms on the planet Ki. This planet exists in a parallel dimension with Earth and is connected to it through Kadingir technology, which allows for inter-planetary travel. Ishtar, the lucky new queen, will discover that her much-admired grandmother, an archaeologist of international renown is more than what she appears. In fact, she hides a lot of secrets that Ishtar would never have even imagined. Not everything turns out to be as easy as it first appeared, however, not since Usumgal, Lord of Zapp, the very worst of the worst, kidnaped Ishtar’s grandmother. And that’s not all: the new queen will have to overcome three challenges before inheriting the throne. But Ishtar will not have to face her fate alone. Nakki, the great advisor, serious of mind, will help guide and form the young Ishtar, who will try Nakki’s patience at every given moment. Galam, a clever but rather confused inventor, dedicated to the easy life, will help Ishtar with a range of up-to-the-minute technology, and with a good dose of moral support. Throughout most of the adventure, they share the company of Ullah, a descendant of the birds, free of spirit and as full of good humour as she is of courage. The band is also accompanied by Zuk, great advisor to the Ki that has evolved from dolphins, and Golik, member of the family of reptiles, who with his special character proves to us that words are always worth less than deeds. The entire group, are old companions of grandmother Nirgal, is finally completed by the presence of Nimur, the young king of a feline race from Ki, with a special interest in Ishtar. Relations between the varied and unusual team in its conquest for the throne of Zink will demonstrate just how true it is that opposite poles attract. The crazy humour of young Ishtar and the seriousness of her advisor, Ullah’s zany sense of freedom and the tranquillity of Galam, or the rage of Usumgal and the hatred that the two great advisors feel for each other… all of this will shape the actions of this group of charismatic characters, each in their own way. Clashes and battles, lessons and explosions come hard and fast, with the special ingredient that is the Queen of the Zitis’ imperturbable sense of humour, so that-in the end the goodies get what the goodies have always wanted since time immemorial: to beat the baddies!
