In the first of the two texts that make up this work; Illustrated Biography of Mishima, the illustrious Japanese author ponders, though he seems to have lost his head and has difficulty expressing himself in words. Mishima had forewarned, especially during his last days, that one could not exist without the other (reflection and communication). In the second text, The Masseur’s Ghosts, João is dedicated to relieving those who suffer from deformities or physical mutilations, whilst his mother is a great orator. Both are united, after her death, by her mysterious reincarnation in the body of a parrot.
