La hija de la noche
The peace and quiet of the small French town of Beaufort is altered by an event, which does not seem to have a reasonable explanation at first. The farmer Henri Morillon has discovered that one of his cows has died in strange circumstances: she has bled completely to death. Some of the town’s inhabitants, such as the young Jerôme, believe that the Grisard mansion is somehow connected with what has happened. The large broken-down house had been abandoned and empty for many years, until suddenly the beautiful and enigmatic Isabelle moved in, returning to the place where she had been born, and which she had fled from years before. The mystery surrounding this woman will make her neighbours suspicious, and the local gendarme, the young Max, starts to investigate.
