La última Sibila
In Delphos, the epicenter of the Greek world, where her oracle predicts everyone’s future, the young Berenice is taken to the enigmatic home of the sibyl to begin her training. In this fascinating place, far from her mother, she will live with others priestesses and slowly acquire knowledge, but not only of grammar and worthy philosophy taught by Plutarch, but also that of another kind, if such a thing is possible: Pythia herself, the great Pythian, will train her so that she keeps her emotions at bay and be able to increase her prophetic gifts, and survive in a feminine universe full of wisdom and beauty, but also of dark passions and jealousies.
The Young lady will soon discover that, in this particular setting, events are occurring that are hard to explain and which will lead to violent deaths that need to be solved.
The Last Sybil is the portrait of a girl that has to learn to become a woman in a setting that is as beautiful as it is hostile, as well as the reflection of a period in which saw the relentless advance of Christianity before the decadence of the splendid religion of the gods of the Olympus.
