Llegará la lluvia
The Rain will Come
Conscious love, forbidden love, cowardly loves and false loves. Summer bursts in the Santa Elena lighthouse, prompting its people to throw open their collection of feelings. In 1910, Fernando Uribe, a visionary and energetic man, will have the chance of carrying out his life’s wish, take a plane ride, concealing from his intimate friends the terrible secret in his bosom. Sixty years on, his grandson Nando, who has turned the family house into a modest hotel, will be visited by some English clients, the Islingtons, all while he rebuilds his life far from Martina, his girlfriend. In the village, everyone tries to live honestly even though they all have something to hide; for at the end of the day, life is a masked ball. With an agile and direct tone, Mikel Alvira develops two stories that feed from one another, thus offering a novel full of surprises, action and tenderness.
