Nosotros, los de entonces
Jorge, Valva, Lourdes, Cecilia, Roberto y Mauro met at the Fine Arts School and became inseparable. But the passing of time has put distance between them. In spite of being in touch, they haven’t been together in twelve years. One day, through an email, Jorge invites them all to spend a weekend in the Hotel Valva, in Saint Rémy, because he wants to share a piece of news with them. Although the first reaction by some is to come up with some excuse or other, Roberto explains to his friends that Jorge has something very important to communicate to them and that it’s essential that they all be there.
Under these circumstances, they all drop their responsibilities and take off to Provence. These six friends will have two days to reminisce about old memories, heal wounds, ventilate hard feelings, and clear misunderstandings. Two days to say things that were hidden, to toast, dance, cry and laugh. To rebuke one another and thank each other. And, above all, to renew the affection that they had left dormant for so long. “Us from Back Then” is a story of loyalties and attachments, tinged by the nostalgia for the twenties and the hard landing of the forties, when one takes stock and admits that some dreams can no longer occur… Or perhaps, can?
