Chocolate Taste

Young Adrian Troadec falls in love with Alma, a cellist who each day, on leaving her music classes runs to a pastry shop to buy a brioche. Not knowing how to approach her, Adrian discovers that the father of the woman he loves is a chess buff, so he decides to learn the game. Three years later he becomes Switzerland’s chess champion, but by then Alma has fallen in love with an American pilot. And so it seems Adrian has lost his chance to win over her heart, until he realizes that Alma still goes to buy her brioche each day because she has a weakness for chocolate. Adrian decides to open his first chocolate shop to impress her.

Seventy years later the chocolate factory is still operative, as a testimony of two world wars and the unfinished symphony of love.
