Where the Tress Sing

Viana, the only daughter of the Duke of Rocagrís, has been promised to young Robian of Castelmar since they were children. The two love each other and will marry in the spring. However, during the winter solstice celebrations, a surly woodsman warns the king of Nortia and his knights of the threat of the barbarians from the steppes… and both Robian and the duke are forced to march to war. Under such circumstances, a maiden like Viana can do nothing but wait for their return… and perhaps pay attention to the legends told about the Great Forest… the place where the trees sing.
