Winter's Daughter

The kingdom of Veldra, ravaged by Oblivion and cruelty, seems doomed to a grim fate. The fortress of Veldra is besieged by the red haze of Oblivion. For far too long, its people have scraped by within the castle walls, trapped by hunger and war, while their sovereign waits, guided only by the counsel of the dead. When a young woman accomplishes the impossible and reaches the walls after crossing Oblivion thanks to the royal ring, warriors, farmers, and even alchemists see in her the sign that their destiny is finally about to change. But the queen—who has risen to power through blood and fire—mistrusts the foreigner and suspects that her arrival is merely a sign that the end is near for them all.
