La viajera del viento
Ángel sells crockery, pots and other utensils in a Lima shop. One sunny day, in an empty shop, the woman he killed some years back walks in. What strikes him is not so much that she be alive but rather that she does not recognize him. After a brief conversation, she buys a few articles and asks Angel to help her take them home. After this first encounter they start seeing each other often. There will be a crime along the way, a long wait and a lot of heartfelt acknowledgments.
The Wind’s Traveler is a novel on the importance the past has on our lives. But the novel is also an homage to the people that are capable of making their lives prevail, even in the midst of struggles and torments. The war years between the Peruvian State and the Shining Path are the background of this story and it works as an exam that puts the main characters to the test.
