Jorge Galán (San Salvador, 1973). Narrator and poet. He has published: The Bee's Way, The Fall of Porthos Embilea and The Tornadoes Tamer (Ocean Great Journey, 2020, 2021); Noise (Pre-Texts, 2019); The Room at the Back of the House (Planeta MX, 2016); November (Planeta MX 2015; Tusquets, 2016); Midnight of the World (Visor, 2016); The Other Worlds (Alfaguara for children, 2010) The Unexpected Prize (Alfaguara for children, 2008); among others.
He has obtained the José Emilio Pacheco Prize from the FIL of Guadalajara for the collection of poems Equinox; the Spanish Royal Academy Award in 2016, for the novel November. He won the Casa de América Award for American Poetry, Madrid 2016; the Ibero-American Prize for published work Jaime Sabines in Mexico, 2012; the Antonio Machado International Award, Madrid, 2009; the Adonais Award, Madrid, 2006; and the national award of his country in both poetry and short novel.
His novels have been translated into various languages and published by the likes of Penguin Random House, Little Brown or Mondadori, among others.
